Writer Tim Hanna takes a look at Lake Dunstan and visits Clyde, which he describes as 'today is remarkable unspoiled and has reinvented itself as the gateway to the Otago Central Rail Trail.' He tells some of the history behind the town and the creation of the lake. He enjoys a cruise with Clutha River Cruises, visit the Clyde Museum the Post Office Cafe and Post Masters accommodation. Dunstan House, Oliver's, Dunstan Hotel, Clyde Bistro and Cinema complete his exploring in Clyde. Tim then moves on the Cromwell where he tells more of the story of Gold, the dam construction years and continues to explore the town and surrounds as it is today. He visits Cromwell Heritage precinct,  the Victoria Arms hotel and several local wineries.
