New Boutique B&B
Planning is underway to restore a Category 2 Heritage building in the centre of Clyde into a 10 room Boutique Bed and Breakfast. The building will undergo major renovation mid-2019 in order to meet all current building standards. Timed to open at the end of 2019, visitors will enjoy staying in en-suited rooms with a private guest lounge and private breakfast room on-site. The location on the main street of Clyde will mean easy access to cafés, restaurants and retail shops together with proximity to the start of Central Otago’s Cycle Trails, Vineyards, Cellar Doors and other unique activities.
New Winery Restaurant
The Bannockburn region near Cromwell is home to premium wine producer Mt Difficulty Wines, who start work on their new Winery Restaurant in 2019. Plans have the restaurant opening in mid to late 2020 and will be able to seat up to 80 guests. Visitors will enjoy world class wines, Central Otago inspired menus and relish the amazing views over vineyards, Lake Dunstan and the Basin all framed by a back-drop of surrounding mountain ranges. The team at Mt Difficulty have indicated they will be establishing options that will include a range of trade product offerings.
